Hello and welcome!

Updated June 6, 2025

We hope you enjoy your stay at our mountain retreat. Following are the House and Pet Rules in place at 119 Creek Ln.

Understanding and complying with our house and pet rules will make for a comfortable and fun stay for everybody! Please ensure you read and fully understand the house rules at the beginning of your stay in order to avoid any danger or additional fees upon check out. If anything is unclear, please email us at Hello@AllTerrainVacations.com or text or call us (phone number on sign in the kitchen of the townhouse) and we will explain in further detail to avoid any misunderstandings.

We reserve the right to evict any guests or visitors from the property who refuse to follow these house and pet rules.

In short, please treat our home with the same respect as you would your own. We put a lot of time and effort into making this a lovely space to be enjoyed by you as well as ourselves. Simply use common sense while staying here.

Have fun! This is your vacation and we hope you make the most of our home, its amenities, and your opportunity to relax and visit the surrounding area.

House Rules

  • No illegal substances, smoking, vaping, or e-cigarettes. This includes tobacco and marijuana. Offenders will be charged an additional $200 cleaning fee.
  • Please be considerate of our neighbor’s right to the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of their home, especially between 11pm – 7am.
  • If you are reported to the local police for excessive noise, unruly dog behavior, or other unneighborly-like conduct, our Summit County Responsible Agent will either call you or come here to speak with you in person within 30 minutes of the report, regardless of the time – day or night. Each call or visit from our Responsible Agent will be as additional charge TO YOU of $200 PLUS $20 per 10 minutes of their time.
  • No unregistered overnight guests, parties, events, or gatherings.
  • Only flush toilet paper and natural waste down the toilet. We provide a bin in each bathroom for other items.
  • Keep ski boots, skis, poles, and snowboards in the garage or foyer. Do not wear ski boots or cleated shoes on the 2nd or 3rd floors.
  • No parking on the street in the neighborhood or anywhere in Silverthorne. Only use our garage, driveway, the parking lot across from this unit, and defined parking spaces and lots in town.
  • No sprinter vans permitted in our neighborhood per HOA.
  • No outside fires or fireworks. Colorado is in an extended period of drought so there may be additional city or county fire and firework restrictions in place. Properly dispose of cigarette butts to avoid wildfires.
  • Ventilate the kitchen during and after cooking. For whatever reason, smells get trapped inside our home. Do not repeatedly fry or cook with curry or strong spices. There is a $100 additional fee to remove lingering odors.
  • Return kitchen items back to where you found them. All items in the kitchen including plates, glasses, mugs, pots/pans, flatware, blender, etc. have been counted and any item broken or removed from premises will be charged to you.
  • Take care of our granite composite sink:
    • Wipe down the sink with non-abrasive cleaners and a soft rag after each use, ensuring regular cleaning for longevity.
    • You shouldn’t need to do any deep cleaning, but in case you do, mix baking powder and water to create a paste for tough stains. Apply it to the entire sink surface, let it sit, then rinse and dry.
    • After cleaning, wash the sink thoroughly with water and dry to prevent hard water and residue build-up.
    • Only use gentle cleaning solutions like vinegar or warm, soapy water to clean the composite sink and preserve its surface.
    • Natural Cleaning Options: use white vinegar and water or a baking powder paste,.
    • Proper Material Care: composite sinks are made with natural stone, granite, quartz, and acrylic resins; they require specific care to avoid damage.
    • Do not use abrasive cleaners or hard scrubbers as they can scratch and damage the surface.
    • Avoid letting water or cleaning solutions sit in the sink for long periods which can cause discoloration and mineral deposits.
    • Never use harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia directly on the sink, as they can harm the composite material.
    • Do not use abrasive tools like steel wool or stiff brushes; instead, opt for a nylon brush or soft cloth to keep the composite sink clean without damage.
  • In the unlikely case of a power outage, please call Melissa at 303-907-4570 before touching the electric panel. No compensation will be given for any temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, internet, or cable service.
  • Any time you leave the townhome, close and lock all windows and doors to maintain security and prevent rain or water damage.
  • We are not responsible for the loss of any personal belongings or valuables. In case you misplace something please let us know so we can look out for the item during cleaning.
  • Do not leave children unattended. Injuries sustained inside our home are your responsibility and not covered by our insurance.
  • Clean the barbecue after each use. It’s more difficult to clean the next day and you may be charged an additional cleaning fee if you don’t.
  • There should be an additional natural gas canister on the garage for the barbecue. If you run out during your stay, it’s your responsibility to buy a refill.
  • Do not rearrange or move furniture from one room to another. Dragging furniture will leave scratches on the LVP flooring.
  • Do not purchase, download, or rent any subscription or entertainment under an account that is not yours.
  • Switch off lights, fireplace, coffee maker, and other electrical devices before you leave.
  • Dispose of food in the trash can. Garbage disposal is for small food remnants only. If you damage or clog the garbage disposal, you will be charged for a plumber’s time to unclog or install a new garbage disposal (if needed).
  • Be respectful of bed sheets and towels. Makeup, face medications, creams, and tanning products will stain and/or bleach linens/towels. Avoid using regular hand/bath towels with all skin products. Use our provided make-up washcloths. Do not wash laundry belonging to the home in order to hide stains. Housekeeping will wash all the laundry. Stained, unsalvageable linens/bath towels will be charged $20 to you for each damaged piece.
  • At the sole discretion of the host, an additional cleaning fee of $100 can be charged if additional cleanup is required that goes above the standard cleaning. Maintain a good level of cleanliness throughout your stay, this will make it much easier when check-out time comes.
  • We understand that accidents happen and kindly request that you report any accidental breakages or damages to Melissa at 303-907-4570 before checking out. In case any damage to the property or our appliances are not covered by our insurance, we’ll look into the issue to decide if and how much the repair cost will be.

Please use common sense while staying in our home. If you’re unsure about any of the house or pet rules and require further clarification, please call Melissa at 303-907-4570.

Pet Rules

We know how important it is to travel with fur-babies! Remember, they add additional wear and tear to our home so please take precautions.

  • Keep dogs off of all furniture, especially the vegan leather couch and dining chairs.
  • Keep dogs on a 6-foot leash when outside and promptly scoop their poop. Free baggies are located on the side of each dumpster in the parking lots.
  • Crate your dogs if you leave them alone in our home. We have a large hard-sided crate and an extra large soft-sided dog tent in the garage. If you use them, return them to the garage before check out.
  • If your dogs damage anything you will be charged for the repair or replacement cost. Repairs are expensive in Summit County due to lack of qualified, licensed contractors so please take care your dog does not damage anything.

Do not feed or approach wildlife.

  • Moose live in our community and HATE dogs because they remind them their only natural predators: wolves.
    • Open the front door slowly and go out BEFORE your dog because moose love the bush in front of our door! I wasn’t the genius who planted it so close. Mamas often bring their babies to snack on it and will stop at nothing to protect them when they’re surprised by your dog magically appearing out of nowhere (aka the front door).
    • Keep your dog leashed at all times when outside. Moose will charge and attempt to trample you and your dog if they don’t like how close you are – especially the females with young calves.
    • Moose can run up to 35MPH! If a moose is charging you, get behind ANYTHING tall to block its path including trees, boulders, or cars.
    • If you see a moose minding its own business, it’s best to turn around and find another route. DO NOT try to pass it quickly or quietly. They know you’re there even if you think they don’t.
  • Speaking of wolves – they are now more prevalent in Colorado due to voter-passed state statute 33-2-105.8, which requires Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) to reintroduce them to Colorado. We personally have not seen any as of November, 2025, and we no one we’ve talked to has either.
    • Generally, wolves are calm and elusive, very rarely approaching people or homes. Wolves are not normally a danger to humans, but you should treat wolves with the same respect you give any other wild animal.
    • Gray wolves are habitat generalists and are able to live in different kinds of landscapes, but are most commonly found in areas with plentiful deer and elk populations. Make NO MISTAKE – You are in wolf country.
    • It’s very rare for wolves to cause a direct threat to humans. To reduce the likelihood of an encounter, or of an encounter turning into an attack, we highly recommend being alert to your surroundings. Look around – scan the sides of hills, forests or open meadows for the presence of wildlife. Since wolves hunt by chasing their prey, running deer or elk could be a sign of a predator such as wolves in the vicinity.
    • Make a lot of noise if you come and go during the times when wolves are most active from dusk to dawn.
    • If you encounter a wolf, don’t approach it, especially if you have a dog with you. Most wolves will try to avoid a confrontation. Don’t corner the wolf; allow it space to get away from you.
    • Learn more at https://cpw.state.co.us/wolf-sightings
  • Mountain lions pass through our backyard frequently thanks to the creek.
    • They are mostly nocturnal. Be extra vigilant during mornings and evenings.
    • Keep your dog leashed at all times when outside.
    • Never approach a mountain lion or kittens – I know they’re cute but you must resist the urge to pet it! Give them an escape route. Speak calmly, move slowly, and AVOID RUNNING. Raise your arms, open your jacket, and pick up small children or pets to make yourself appear larger.
    • They will attack you and your dog for sport. If you are attacked, fight back with everything you’ve got. People have been known to survive mountain lion attacks.
  • Bears also enjoy our creek! Most Colorado bears are active from mid-March through early November.
    • Never approach bears or offer food. If you’re lucky enough to see a bear, watch from a safe distance. Stand still, stay calm and wait for the bear to leave. If they start heading your way, make loud noises. Be sure the bear has an opening to leave the area. Never run or climb a tree. They’re really not that into you and prefer to be left alone.
    • In case it’s not clear yet – keep your dog leashed at all times when outside. In case it’s not clear yet – keep your dog leashed at all times when outside. Do not leave human or dog food outside. If you see a bear, make loud noises. They’re really not that into you and prefer to be left alone.

House Manual

  • To lock the front door from the outside, hold the door tightly closed then hit the lock icon on the keypad.
  • A fire extinguisher is under kitchen sink but do your best to not start any fires.
  • If you need to take out the trash during your stay, there is a dumpster across the street. If that one gets full, there is another dumpster to your left as you exit the townhome.
  • There is no onsite recycling – don’t @ me, I had nothing to do with the decision.
  • The townhome tends to get warm quickly in the winter so we’ve set the thermostats low. Feel free to change them as needed. They are located in the garage, kitchen, and primary bedroom. Note, the warmer the garage, the warmer the entire townhome.
  • There is no air conditioning. Open the windows on either side of the townhouse for a cross breeze.
  • Extra toilet paper and towels can be found in each bathroom cabinet or on the shelves. Feel free to wash the towels at any time during your stay. Laundry detergent is located on top of the washer/dryer unit in the top floor’s utility closet. Please do not wash the black makeup towels with the white towels.
  • Sometimes the TVs turn on in “smart” mode instead of cable. Use the “input” key on the remote to reset the input to “Xfinity X1”
  • Coffee Maker
    • Make sure to hit the off button when done brewing. There is no warming plate under the carafe – the metal carafe will keep the coffee warm for hours.
    • Coffee maker has a 10-cup capacity.
    • No paper filter needed when using the permanent filter.
